Quirky Cards Fresh from Mildew Design
Mildew Design produce quirky and edgy cards with a brilliant British twist. Below are some lovely examples that founder Claire Spake was nice enough to send me to show you here.
‘Bite Me’ is a fun, illustrated range dedicated to the glorious world of biscuits and cakes. Like all Mildew Design cards, the range uses high quality, FSC approved board. Cards are blank inside, with the designs suitable for a variety of purposes.
Designed for women and girls, ‘What A Gal Wants’ is a humorous range with cards covering birthdays and occasions. A 15cm square card with a debossed picture frame border. All cards are co-ordinated with a bright pink envelope.
All of the ranges shown here today were designed by Claire. ‘Kitschorama’ feature hand-coloured photographs from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Images are combined with text that provides a modern, edgy twist.
From their private collection of images, primarily from the 19th century, Mildew Design has created ‘Ephemeral Things’; a selection of general and occasion cards. Each design uses delightfully funny phrases that perfectly compliment the imagery. A black and white card range, co-ordinated with a clean white envelope.
