Perfectly Pretty Cards at the Henries
This afternoon’s look at the 2012 Henries finalists is dedicated to Laura Sherratt Designs, nominated in the ‘Most Promising Young Designer’ category for the second year running. For those of you familiar with the blog, it’s probably not surprising to find out that I’m a big fan of Laura’s work; I’ve been delighted to feature Laura’s greeting cards on a few different occasions, and I’m so pleased to see her recognised at this year’s Henries awards.
For a little background here’s a few words from the lady herself …
“I have always had a real passion for all things decorative and embellished, and going to university to study Surface Pattern Design really encouraged me to develop this passion further and create designs for a range of products. I quickly discovered that greetings and stationery were something that I had a real flair for. I launched Laura Sherratt Designs, aiming to create beautiful, handmade greeting cards and gift-wrap for design-led retailers. Designing is something I adore and always dreamt of doing for a living, and almost three years later, I’m so lucky to be living that dream!”
