Discover the Wonderful World of Herdy
Herdy was established in 2007 by designers, Spencer and Diane Hannah, the founding aim was to offer visitors to the Lake District, a choice of responsibly produced, high quality, giftware. Today’s post is a look at their current collection of gifts, which includes homewares, craft kits, stationery and accessories. Each gift is a fun & contemporary design in bright colours, inspired by the Herdwick Sheep.
Since its launch the company has grown and extended well beyond its Lakeland boundaries and now sends its unique brand of Herdy gift products all over the world. In 2010 Herdy were selected as the ‘Small Company of the Year’ by the Business in the Community organisation, and have been re-accredited in subsequent years with BITC’s Big Tick ‘responsible business endorsement’. The accreditation recognise Herdy for their policy of giving back to the region through responsible business practice and the ‘Herdy Fund’, which supports sustainable rural communities, upland fell farming and of course the Herdwick sheep.
