Newmakers Create Rock & Roll Gifts to Delight.

Based in the heart of the Devon countryside, Newmakers was founded by Dan Cox. With over 25 years experience as both designer & educator he was worked for high-profile companies across the world and received many international design awards. Dan started Newmakers in Chiang mai, northern Thailand, crafting high quality furniture with local artisans. Since moving back home to Devon, he has applied this same local approach to creating modern products & toys for children.

For today’s post I wanted to share Newmakers latest range. A set of six animal rockers and rollers, which I think will make amazing gifts for children. Among the collection is the Zebra Rocker (shown above), which was recently voted a “highlight product” at London Design Week. Designed to help young kids with their mobility skills, the range makes the process fun and exciting with bright, appealing animal characters.

Currently the range has 3 animals to choose from: Zebra, Tiger and Panda. Each creature is captured in a modern graphic style that highlights the quality of the construction and beauty of the materials. The classic wood and contemporary look ensures that the finished product appeals to both young and old. A fabulous toy to play with that also looks stylish in any modern home.

Designed to last a lifetime, each animal is built from high-grade laminated beech plywood. The range is constructed with solid beech rockers and timber wheels. Practical as well as super cute the wheels have 1 cm thick, solid rubber runners to prevent noise and scratching on wooden flooring.

The animal rockers and rollers featured in today’s post retail at £99.00. Each design is suitable for ages 1 year and above. The toys vary in size depending on your preference of animal character. Seat heights are between 25 – 30 cm; lengths: 50 – 70 cm and the toys weigh between 3.5kg and 4.6kg. To find out more about stocking or buying from the range please visit the Newmakers website.
