New Handmade Stationery Fresh from Nib London.
Regular readers of the blog will have probably worked out by now that I’m a big stationery fan. I’m therefore very pleased to be able to share a little information on a new stationery brand. Based in Brixton, London, Nib London was co-founded by Lydia Hardwick and William Cheshire to create fabulous screen-printed stationery.
Both Lydia and William come from creative backgrounds, Lydia is a visual artist and William a composer. This year, through their shared interests in material and attractive, functional stationery they created Nib London. Working from their Brixton studio the duo have created a range of beautiful and functional notebooks and cards. Elegant designs inspired by colour, material and surface. Stationery that is not only great to look at, but good to use and share.
A unique aspect of the company is the handmade touches to be found in the collection. All of the Nib London products are screen-printed, using hand-painted screens. The notebooks are then bound by hand to create a luxury product with the distinct, tactile quality of handmade items. Noteworthy designs include the yellow A5 Giraffe notebook, which is Lydia and Williams’s favourite product (shown above). I’d also encourage you to take a closer look at the Peaks Notebooks and Speck Cards (shown below) which are proving to be early favourites with buyers.
With Lydia and William always keen to experiment with new patterns and combinations for their notebooks and cards I think Nib London is a stationery brand worth watching. The pair also tell me that as Christmas is approaching, we’ll definitely be seeing a new range of gifts and cards added to their website in the coming months.
Featured notebooks are available in A5, A6 and A7 sizes, priced from £6.50 and cards retail at £4.50. To find out more about the company or stock their beautiful collection of stationery please visit the Nib London website.
