Art Gifts Re-Imagined with Style.
I’m a big fan of re-imagined artwork; music and movie posters given a fresh look by a new generation of designers. I was therefore very happy to discover a range of concert posters re-created by Alex Borg aka The Stereo-Typist.
Based in Brighton, Designer and Illustrator Alex believes the poster deserves to be treated as a collectible piece of art. I totally agree with this point of view and also think they make great gifts! For this reason I’m delighted to share a few artworks from The Stereo-Typist collection here on the blog.
The range beautifully combines design of the 1950’s – 1970’s with classic pop culture. The result is eye-catching posters of landmark music events. Each gig is re-imagined as a minimalist book cover from the 1960’s. The poster collection has designs featuring The Beatles, David Bowie, Blondie, The Who and many more; a diverse range of artists to make every music fan smile.
The sharp, colourful posters look great singly or can be grouped together to create a feature wall. Each artwork is digitally printed on a high quality, 300gsm uncoated and recycled card. Water-based inks are used for each design, creating an art print that is not only stylish but environmentally-friendly too. See what you think …
