gift of the year awards

The Best of the Best at this Year’s Gift of the Year Awards

Every year Spring Fair’s Sunday night is dedicated to the Gift of the Year awards.

“Gift of the Year is a barometer of trends in the gift and home market. These are the products of the moment.” Sebastian Conran, Gift of the Year Ambassador.

The awards are a celebration of the most original and innovative ‘new-to-market’ products. Winners are chosen by a carefully selected panel of judges; industry experts from independent gift shops, large department stores and online retailers.

The first round of reviews is conducted online, creating a shortlist of around 10 items per category. The second round of the process sees all the judges reviewing samples of the shortlisted products. From the shortlist the panel choose the winning and highly commended entries across 20 categories.

The panel judge each gift by several criteria including innovation, originality, quality, viability and wow factor to name just a few. In today’s post you can see all of the winners. Come back later in the week to see a gallery of the highly commended products.
