Pennychoo Launches Retro Stationery for the Discerning Vintage Lover.
Continuing our celebration of National Stationery Week today’s post is a look at a brand new range of retro stationery.
Expanding beyond their usual greeting cards focus, vintage-inspired publisher Pennychoo have recently launched ‘Metroland’; a retro stationery collection for the discerning vintage lover. Based on 1950’s atomic patterns, the range of notebooks is inspired by British design’s post-war fascination with all things scientific and space age.
Pennychoo Designer Sue Lee has created six stylish notebooks: Bloomsbury, Perivale, Pimlico, Metropolitan, Hampstead and Fitzrovia. (A few of which you can see featured in today’s product gallery). Each notebook cover has been carefully distressed to give a worn look. A small detail that helps give the range an authentic vintage feel. Indeed it’s this minute attention to detail that we have come to love as a signature of all Pennychoo designs.
The notebooks are made with a sturdy cover of heavyweight, warm white board. Inside each notebook has 40 pages of plain paper perfect for notes or sketching. Supporting environmental responsibility the collection uses only FSC Certified paper stocks for both cover and internal pages.
A handy purchase for any mid-century design fan or stationery addict, the Metroland notebooks are an A6 size; the ideal fit for a small bag or pocket. A stylish pick for shopping or creativity on the go.
The Metroland notebooks retail at just £3.00 each. See and purchase from the full collection at the Pennychoo website and stockists nationwide.
