Tantalise Your Taste Buds with Vintage Recipes Books.
The world’s largest and original newspaper archive, Historic Newspapers, has recently launched a new set of Vintage Recipes books. Each of the books showcases recipes & cookery ideas throughout history.
A perfect gift idea for food lovers and history buffs alike, the newspaper books are a unique mix of news & food inspiration.
Shining a light on popular food organised by decade. The designs see landmark food news (such as the start of rationing) sitting alongside recipes; capturing a slice of culinary history that will educate and entertain.
Adding a final touch of nostalgia, the vintage recipes books also feature famous celebrity faces, many of whom are still around today!
Each page of the vintage recipes books comes from an original, genuine newspaper article; with no additions or changes, food lovers can see other news news from the same day the recipe was first seen.
Kevin Sears, E-commerce director at Historic Newspapers, said of the vintage recipes books:
“Food has always been a hot topic in terms of press, whether it’s a new chef to watch out for, a well-loved recipe from a specific era, or the announcement of impactful food industry changes in society. We’ve designed this book to help reignite memories from the past through our sense of taste and smell, transporting us back to a time we thought was forgotten.”
Vintage Recipe Cookbooks for All
The recipe books are available in two beautiful styles. The softback version comes complete with colourful front covers; while the hardback version is beautifully bound in a purple cover design with intricate, gold embossing.
For an extra special touch both versions of the recipe books can be personalised; adding a name and personal message. There’s also the option to have the recipient’s name embossed in gold on the front cover of the hardback design.
The books feature articles in black and white, with options starting from the 1930’s up until the 1990’s.
