PaperAwards 2016 Launches at Top Drawer Autumn

This year’s Top Drawer Autumn will see the launch of a brand new show feature, the PaperAwards 2016. Sponsored by paper manufacturers, GF Smith, these brand new awards aim to celebrate design, innovation and creativity within the world of greetings & stationery.

For its first year the PaperAwards will see winners announced in 3 categories: Emotive Design, Engaging Print and Exciting Use of Colour.

Judging the PaperAwards 2016

The first step of the PaperAwards 2016 saw nominations chosen by an expert judging panel: Anna Bond, Co-founder and Owner of Rifle Paper Co; Clare Sprigings, Stationery Buyer at Selfridges; Mark Jessett & Janet Stevens, Paper Consultants at GF Smith; Audrey Woollen, Owner, Buyer & Creative Director of Urbanic; Abigail Warner, Owner & Founder of Abigail Warner and PaperFest and Alejandra Campos, Event Director at Top Drawer.

The judging panel chose 6 designers for each category; picked from a huge number of applicants; all of whom are exhibiting in the Greetings & Stationery area of Top Drawer Autumn.

From that shortlist the winners were chosen by a public vote on the Top Drawer website; announced on Tuesday 6th September, ahead of Top Drawer’s opening day.
