Wrapping Paper Books Make Any Present Beautiful

If you’ve ever found struggling with a roll of gift wrap tedious or cumbersome, wrapping paper books might well be your saviour. Breaking away from the conventional long roll of gift wrap, wrapping paper books offer an easy way to have beautifully designed gift wrap at your disposal in a flat, convenient book format.

Created by The Pimpernel Press there are currently 8 wrapping paper books to choose from. Each book has 12 sheets of gift wrap, which is organised by a unique theme. Titles include: Butterflies and Other Bugs; English Chintz Fabrics; Flowers, Fruit and Vegetables; Maps; Art Deco Patterns, Manuscripts, Robert Adam Designs and Japanese Woodblock Prints.

The themed gift wrap designs in each of the books use imagery from a variety of historic collections, including: The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, British Library and Glasgow Museums. The designs in these gift wrap books make an interesting alternative to modern gift wrap prints; giving nature-lovers and history buffs access to unique, museum-quality images.

Make Gift Wrapping Effortless

Each book has a dozen unique sheets of beautifully designed, top quality gift wrap (one of each per book). The sheets measure 50 x 70 cm when unfolded, making them the ideal size for many types of present.

The sheets of gift wrap are expertly folded and glued into the books, creating an easy-to-remove tear-off pad; the binding gives a clean edge and the cover keeps the paper neat and tidy. Measuring a handy 34.5cm x 25cm, the books can easily be stored on a shelf or flat in a drawer when not in use. A useful way to always have stunning gift wrap at hand for any gift giving.

About Pimpernel Press

Set up in 2014 by Editor Jo Christian, Pimpernel Press is an independent publishing company that produces illustrated non-fiction books on gardens and gardening, places, buildings and interiors, art, artists and design; as well as  practical books on arts, crafts and cookery, decorative stationery and gift books.

With more than 30 years in publishing Jo has mainly worked with illustrated non-fiction publishers, including Time-Life and Frances Lincoln.

Speaking of her inspiration to set up Pimpernel Press, Jo said:

“When I left Frances Lincoln I quickly realised that I wanted to publish my own list. What really clinched it was when Fergus Garrett, head gardener at Great Dixter, agreed to do a book for me – I’d been trying to persuade him to write his book for years and now he was! Well, I wasn’t going to let anyone else publish that.”

In addition to Garrett, authors and photographers also signed to Pimpernel Press include: Mary Keen, Polly Devlin and Marcus Binney. Pimpernel Garden Classics have also reissued titles by authors including: Andrew Lawson and Beth Chatto. The wrapping paper books expand the Pimpernel Press collection while staying true to the themes of their portfolio.
