A Sneak Peek at Top Drawer Spring 2017
Top Drawer Spring 2017 presents a stellar line-up of UK and international lifestyle brands, with thousands of new design-led products on display; not to mention a heap of exclusive launches.
Promising more new and exclusive brands than ever, this January’s Top Drawer looks like a very exciting show. As always I’m keen to see the new releases in the Greetings & Stationery sector. Knowing my interest the organisers have kindly let me have a sneak peek of the show’s new product launches, which I am delighted to be able to share with you today.
The Greetings & Stationery sector will play host to 150 design-led brands; each showcasing exciting new ranges as well as their best sellers. There’s lots of wonderful brands lined up for the show including: Belly Button Designs, Bonnie Blackbird, Coulson Macleod, Forever Funny, Hannah Marchant, Katie Leamon, Portico Designs, The Art File and U Studio to name just a few.
Today however we’re taking a quick look at 6 cutting edge companies with unmissable new product launches. You’ll find each of them in the Greetings & Stationery sector of this weekend’s show.
Rocket 68 – Stand ZA40
Somerset based card and stationery brand Rocket 68 will be launching their retro inspired Miami collection at Top Drawer Spring 2017. The range features 18 striking new greeting card designs and several A3 prints. Each artwork is infused with a sun kissed, tropical aesthetic that is sure to brighten even the coldest January days. The collection is printed on a high quality calisto board, sourced from FSC certified stock.
Lizzie Chancellor – Stand ZA44
Newly formed brand Lizzie Chancellor will be showcasing 3 new greetings card ranges at this month’s Top Drawer. The new ranges Tessellation, Happiness and Spirograph display Lizzie’s signature clean aesthetic. Designs are highlighted with foiled detailing to reinvigorate and celebrate the design. The Spirograph range (pictured above) is a nod to Lizzie’s childhood, inspired by the intricate curved Spirograph patterns we all know and love.
Hotchpotch – Stand X54
London based greetings card publishers Hotchpotch will be bringing their bright and quirky illustrations to Top Drawer Spring 2017. They will be launching a plethora of new products including 5 brand new card ranges, gift wrap, stationery, notebooks and planners. Amongst the new release is Hello Neon, a range printed with two vivid neon pigments and finished in rose gold; a must see new collection that is sure to be a highlight of 2017.
Ohh Deer – Stand V63
International illustration brand Ohh Deer will be returning to Top Drawer with their charming ranges of unique cards and gifts. The show will see them launch new Mr Men and Little Miss ranges, reworked by artist John Bond. Make sure you don’t miss these delightful edits on classic characters, which will be exclusive to the Top Drawer show.
Paperboy London – Stand X50
Paperboy London is the new sister brand to JOLLY AWESOME, from London-based Illustrator Matt Nguyen. Paperboy London will retain JOLLY AWESOME’s signature attitude and humour whilst shifting focus to the details in materials, production and finishes; creating a luxe brand with a fresh and modern style. Paperboy London’s debut collection includes ranges MARFA, NYC, BUSHWICK and TIMES SQUARE, all inspired by Matt’s favourite travel adventures.
The City Works – Stand Y43
Austrian based company The City Works create carefully curated souvenir collections, each about a different world city. Applied to cards, posters, accessories and stationery, these intricate illustrations create great mementos for curious travellers. Look out for their beautifully embossed works which will be exhibited at the show.
Visiting Top Drawer Spring 2017
Today’s sneak peek is just the tip of the greetings & stationery iceberg. Top Drawer Spring 2017 will see the launch of many new products in greetings, stationery and across all of the show; making it the ideal place for innovative retailers to seek out exciting new brands.
