Perfect Paper Goods to Discover at This Year’s Pulse London
There are just 2 days to go before Pulse 2018 and it’s time for our final preview of the new products that will be launching at the show. Today we’re looking at paper goods and stationery; new greetings cards, stationery and gift wrap that is sure to make a big impact on the buyer’s attending the London show.
From first time exhibitors with beautiful wrapping paper to nature-inspired greeting cards, there are paper goods and fun stationery items to suit every taste.
So let’s take a closer look at what will be shown at Olympia this weekend.
Catherine Lewis Design – Stand E31
Based in Cardiff, Wales, Catherine Lewis Design is a botanical brand founded in 2016 by Catherine Edwards. Specialising in stationery, art prints and soft furnishings, Catherine aims to create original products, which are enhanced with intricate illustrations. For Pulse 2018, Catherine uses her love of print design to create a host of new products, including this striking floral wrapping paper. Printed on a high-quality matte paper stock, the gift wrap is 1 of 4 designs that will be launched at the show.
East End Prints – Stand K11
From their creative studio in East London, East End Prints source the very best UK and international art and illustration talent to create a curated print collection. From film inspired posters to abstracts and vintage type, East End Prints are proud to offer 2000 prints by 70 different artists.
Placing themselves at the heart of London’s creative community, East End Prints is focused on staying ahead of the trends. Their collection encompasses high quality, affordable graphic art prints, limited editions and now greeting cards, which all go to help support emerging artists.
Ellie Good Illustration – Stand A10
Ellie Good Illustration heads to Pulse with her latest product ‘A Year of Cards’. Never again will shoppers have to suffer last minute “card-shopping-panic”. The ‘Year of Cards’ boxset provides an economical way to have an annual supply of cards for every occasion. The pack contains 40 greetings cards with 17 different, multi-purpose designs. Each card has been lovingly illustrated, printed on recycled card and paired with an envelope ready to send.
Lund London – Stand K36
Lund London offers premium collections of trays, photo frames, clocks and more; each designed to be the perfect addition to any home. For Pulse 2018 Lund London will be showing their new metal stationery collection, ‘Lund Luxe Stationery’, a range of pens, rulers, bookmarks and key rings made from premium high shine metal, which is sure to make an appealing addition to any stationery addict’s collection.
Offdn – Stand UAL
Part of the University of the Arts London (UAL) sector at Pulse 2018, Offdn design and manufacture fun, affordable, useful stationery and homewares. Working with batch and craft makers, their designs are playful, minimal and well made. Amongst the items Offdn will be showing at this year’s show are the ‘It Take Sticky Notes’. These large blocks (reminiscent of liquorice allsorts) offer a fun take on the traditional sticky note blocks. Each one is made of bright, clean paper stock sourced from sustainable forests. The massive 450 Square sticky notes (The same as 5 large packs of sticky notes) give users a practical solution for all their notes. And in case you’re wondering, the black parts of the note blocks are secretly white paper with a black edge, maintaining the style of the block while making the sticky notes practical to use.
Old English Company – Stand K61
Old English Company is a stationery and giftware brand, creating hand-lettered products from their studio based in the picturesque town of Stamford. The joy of their collection is in the unique simplicity of the designs. By combining illustration and hand-lettered typography, Old English Co’s aim is to create stylish products with messages that resonate. Visitor’s to Olympia this weekend should look out for their fun greeting card designs, including this brilliant Lion design for birthdays.
PomPom Galore – Stand L29
PomPom Galore specialises in the original, traditionally made yarn pom pom. Starting with pom pom garlands for decorating, the popularity of the range has seen the business grow and introduce a variety of pom pom products. From hair accessories to pom pom fairy light LED chains, the collection brings the nostalgia of the traditional pom pom to the present day; merging colour with design and traditional craftsmanship with modern style. PomPom Galore will be launching many new products for Pulse 2018, including these cute ‘Jumbo Pom Pom Paper Clips’ which are an easy way to bring fun and colour to the office.
Sarah Lovell Art – Stand L59
Sarah Lovell Art will be launching a brand new range of illustrated chicken cards at Pulse 2018. The range named ‘100 Days Of Chickens’ features 12 illustrated cards, inspired by Sarah’s 100 Day Project on Instagram. All of the cards are printed in the UK on high-quality Tintoretto paper, which is paired with a Kraft brown envelope and left blank inside (making them suitable for a variety of occasions). Alongside the new chicken greeting cards, Sarah will also be showing greeting cards, prints, colouring books and gift wrap collections.
We Act Company – Stand M59
Inspired by nature, simple things in life, typography and sometimes a little bit of profanity, We Act Company create design-led, humorous, unique and quirky stationery and greeting cards. With stylish stationery and paper goods, We Act Company aim to inspire people to take notes and sketch in unique notebooks, to send cards with a hand-written message rather than a few lines jotted in an email. At Pulse, visitors should look out for their bold, colourful designs, including the eye-catching ‘Typecase’ greeting card range.
