Alphabet Gifts for All: Mugs, Prints and More

If you’re crazy about your A-Z’s then today’s alphabet gifts are just for you. Created by illustrator Becka Griffin today’s gift pick sees mugs, prints, notebooks and cards united by the alphabet. Each gift features unique illustrations, with an A-Z of images dedicated to a variety of themes.

Inspired by a discovery of the game “Scattergories” (which involves thinking of a word beginning with a certain letter to fit within a particular theme) Becka has created a charming collection of alphabet gifts. Each has 26 unique illustrations representing each letter of the alphabet. The collection is smart, sweet and incredibly charming and I’m so happy to give you a closer look.

Alphabet Prints

The Alphabet Posters feature a full A-Z of little pictures around a theme. Alice in Wonderland and Cheese alphabets are shown here; other designs include Farm, Gin and Great Britain to name a few. Becka draws each image by hand and then colours them digitally to product the finished Alphabet prints.

The pictures are available in 2 sizes; standard, which fits an A4 sized frame and large, which will fit into an A3 frame. The Alice in Wonderland Alphabet Picture can also be personalised for an extra special touch. Each design is a digital print on high quality archival paper, which will not fade or discolour over time.

Alphabet Mugs

A cute and quirky way to enjoy an alphabet every day, these fantastic alphabet mugs bring the A-Z to your morning (or afternoon) cuppa. There’s currently 20 different illustrated alphabets to choose from. Shown here are my personal favourites, monsters and cakes; you have to love designs that include the Jackalope and Batternburg!

The ceramic mugs are professionally made, with Becka’s hand-drawn illustrations carefully applied. Each mug is a large, chunky shape measuring 92mm tall with a 80mm diameter; meaning lots of room for your favourite beverage. Matched with a specially designed cardboard outer they’re also ideal for gifting.

Alphabet Notebooks

The illustrated Alphabet Notebooks Set feature 2 notebooks; one with a themed alphabet design and a second with a matching pattern print. As with the other alphabet gifts, there are plenty of notebooks to choose from, shown here are the cycling and sewing designs. Each notebook is A5 in size (approximately 15cm x 21cm) and has a recycled matt cover. Made in the UK, they contain 36 plain recycled pages, making them great for doodling, drawing, planning and plotting.

Alphabet Greeting Cards

Last in today’s pick is the alphabet cards. If you want to go all out with the A-Z theme you can combine your alphabet gifts with an alphabet greeting card. Printed from Becka’s original illustrations the images shine brightly against the crisp, white backdrop.

Cards are approximately C6 in size and come with a Kraft-style brown envelope. The cards are blank of sentiment, making them ideal for a variety of occasions, and each one has the full A-Z listing on the reverse of the greetings card. My favourites include the Beatles and Dogs designs shown above.

About Becka Griffin

Becka Griffin is an illustrator obsessed with cheese and fixated with alphabets (handy for this particular gift pick). Working mostly with watercolour and ink, she creates a wonderful array of greeting cards, gifts and more.

Born and raised in Cumbria, today Becka is based in Liverpool,  from where she graduated with a degree in Graphic Arts in 2002. Becka went to art college in Carlisle, and then on to John Moores University in Liverpool, where she studied Graphic Arts and Illustration. After graduation she chose a different career path  (pub manager) and for a number of years moved across the country before finally settling back in Liverpool.

In 2009 a career change meant Becka had a lot more free time. Re-discovering her passion for drawing, she drew and drew and happily discovered people were willing (and very eager) to pay for her pictures. Following a busy Christmas in 2013, and the runaway success of her bestselling “Cheesy Valentine’s Card”, she gave up her day job in March 2014 and since then has worked as a full time illustrator. The rest is history, today Becka has a growing number of beautifully illustrated products and thousands of very happy customers.
