Visiting the Autumn Trade Shows? Don’t Miss Autumn Fair 2015’s Must-See Exhibitors.
As I highlighted in last week’s Autumn Fair preview there are plenty of reasons to visit Autumn Fair 2015. From trend insights to eCommerce expertise, it’s a busy and informative trade show.
I think the most compelling reason to visit however will always come down to the chance to see amazing exhibitors and the fabulous new products they’re launching.
With this in mind I wanted to give you one last preview of this Autumn Fair 2015’s must-see exhibitors. My pick of brilliant card & gift businesses die to showcase fabulous products.
1. Blue Eyed Sun
Blue Eyed Sun create gorgeous handmade greetings cards for design-led card and gift shops, galleries, book shops, boutiques and department stores. At Autumn Fair 2015 the team will be showing their brand new card ranges and best-selling, award-winning handmade card designs. As well as new Valentines Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for the upcoming Spring season. Not forgetting their best-selling Christmas card ranges, perfect for last minute festive orders.

2. The Square Card Company
The Square Card Company is a joint venture between children’s illustrator and writer Kali Stileman and Lucy Tolson who does all the clever business stuff. The Square Card Company specialise in brightly coloured greetings cards with a splash of sparkle, super cute gift wrap and tags for children and young people. For Autumn Fair 2015 they will be showcasing their brand new range ‘Bubbles’ a range of 32 quirky cards complete with white speech bubbles for a fun doodle or personal message.

3. Alterego Home Design
Alterego Home Design was founded in 2003 in Italy. Alterego are new to the UK but active in 30 export countries. They design and stock a large range of exclusive Cushions, Throws, Lighting, vases, rugs, artwork, wall hangings and furniture. A great one to check out for the design conscious homeware fans. I particularly love this bright and bold ‘Vintage’ cushion (shown above) look out for this and much more at the show.

4. White Leaf
This year at Autumn Fair White Leaf will be showcasing LAST TRUE ANGEL, their younger, more directional sister label which encompasses colour, detail and trend inspiration for the fashion savvy. White Leaf specialise in elegant, affordable fashion jewellery and accessories. Delicate designs are juxtaposed with bold statement pieces – each with its own unique, contemporary edge. This year the company is focusing on sophisticated metal finishes and platings, with their semi-precious stone collection and matching sets, which have proved hugely popular. Their accessories are examples of fashion jewellery at its finest, a great example of Autumn Fair 2015’s must-see exhibitors.

5. Urban Graphic
Urban Graphic is a contemporary and design-led publisher of greeting cards and gifts, selling to some of the best retails shops and galleries in the UK including Paperchase, Scribbler, Waterstones, The Tate Modern, Urban Outfitters. Not to mention some of the nicest independent stores in the UK and overseas. Passionate about design, the company is always on the look out for creative challenges, which has resulted in multiple awards over the years. Known for their exciting collaborations with many great artists their stand will definitely be worth a look.
Wild Olive is an exciting brand of lifestyle products for body and home. Taking their inspiration from nature, they collect the best ingredients from around the world and hand make them into exciting products at their HQ in Derbyshire. Their vast range of products include ‘Gift of the Year’ winning bath melts, unique Bath Tea bags, finest hand made soap, preservative-free face masks and body butters as well as an expanding range of Home Fragrances; soy wax candles, soy wax melts and reed diffusers.
7. Little Moose
Little Moose is a British fashion brand who create design led statement perspex jewellery and accessories. Their vision is of a crazy, colourful world filled with curious, crowd-pleasing, character based creations. Designs that raise a smile and stand out from the crowd. Little Moose are all about having fun with fashion and make great gifts. For Autumn Fair 2015 Little Moose have once again drawn inspiration from nature with a playful new panda collection sure to raise a smile. Striking leopards, ethereal seahorses, elegant cats and a tranquil mountain setting complete the theme. Japan is their final stop, bringing weird and wonderful street-style characters to life in unique designs.
8. The Somerset Toiletry Company
Established in 1999 as a small family business, The Somerset Toiletry Company has flourished into an international business with products sold in over 35 countries. Renowned for making products that vary from the richly classical to the wonderfully innovative. Their aims have remained the same from inception to present day … to develop products that are reasonably priced, exquisitely packaged, have wonderful fragrances and contain formulations that exceed all expectations.

9. 50 Fifty Gifts (UK)
50 Fifty is a design-led novelty toy and gift company exporting and distributing products worldwide. Built on innovation, the 50 Fifty team pride themselves on creating and delivering fun. With a proven track record for both spotting and creating the latest trends; the company prides itself on creating best-selling products. At Autumn Fair 2015 you can get a sneak peek at the latest member of the Brew Buddies (seen above) … just in time for the festive gifting season.

10. Heath McCabe
Heath McCable is a specialist in the design and supply of china and ceramic wares to the retail industry. New and innovative designs featuring English artists at affordable prices. Their core range consists of fine bone china mugs in premium packaging; ideal gifts and stocking fillers for every taste.

11. Quail Ceramics
Quail Ceramics produces some of the best-loved animal and bird themed ceramics. Their new range of animal wall vases are wonderfully quirky and make a great display together with matching jugs, salt and pepper sets and egg cups. I particularly like this cool Zebra design (shown above). Be sure to pop along to their stand to find your favourite.

12. Sophie Allport
Sophie Allport produces fine bone china, kitchen and home textiles, oilcloth and stationery all inspired by her love of nature and the countryside. Specialising in Illustration, Sophie’s key collections include Alice in Wonderland, On the Farm, Woodland Party, Hare, Chicken, Labrador, Terrier, Rose, Busy Bee, Cat, Pheasant, Gardening and Swallow. All will be on show alongside some fabulous new Christmas collections. My favourite is the sweet Robin & Mistletoe collection shown above; available in a wide variety of homeware gifts and matching gift wrap!

13. Hearth And Heritage
Based in The Vale of Belvoir, Hearth and Heritage is a giftware brand with a strong emphasis on scented products such as scented candles, room diffusers and scented soaps. Launched 2 years ago via Not on the High Street, the company has grown steadily to supply both online and stand alone stores across the UK. All of the products are sourced and made in the UK and are designed in house, making them a great find for fans of the “Made in Britain” movement. Top pick is this new Gin & Tonic Lip Balm, which will be showcased at the show.

14. My World
My last pick of Autumn Fair 2015’s must see-exhibitors is My World, they will be showing their brand new music-themed cards in the Vintage range. Originally commissioned for Sage Gateshead and musicroom.com, the collection covers a whole range of instruments from drums and guitars to violins and brass – and even a metronome! It’s the perfect range for music lovers of all varieties, and already really popular with venues and concert halls such as THSH in Birmingham.
Autumn Fair 2015 is held at the Birmingham NEC, running from the 6th-9th September (with the Volume Halls opening a day earlier on the 5th).
