New Card & Gift Picks from Harrogate Home & Gift
In our week of posts dedicated to Harrogate Home & Gift 2016, we’ve so far looked at new designers exhibiting at Home & Gift 2016 and the live events programme. Today we’re following this with a look at some of the best new products; top card & gift picks from Harrogate 2016.
Almost 400 of the exhibitors at this weekend’s show have declared they will be showing new products but sadly I can’t cover them all here. I can however give you a sneak peek at 8 of my favourites. Cards and gifts chosen from across the industry. Some are familiar faces to the blog and some are showing here for the first time. So let’s take a closer look.
1. Katie Leamon – Stand DP2-24a
First up of new card & gift picks from Harrogate is Katie Leamon’s new launches for Summer 2016. 4 brand new rages including: The ‘Petite Card Collection’, a range of miniature cards, available in 16 brand new designs. The mini cards are either hand printed or gold foiled; each one is paired with a bespoke monochrome marbled envelope.
2 new designs of ‘Gold Foiled Gift Wrap’ will also be shown. Sold as flat sheets or as 2 pack gift wrap sets, the gift wrap features gold foiled onto luxury ivory paper; matching gift tags will also be available.
Next amongst the new products is a box set of 6 ‘Luxury Crackers’, hand rolled in England and filled with a selection of desirable gifts. Available in two new designs; monochrome marbled and gold foiled.
Last but not least are new ‘Luxury Pencil Sets’. A brand new range of pencils available in 6 stylish monochrome designs. The pencil sets are available as mixed and single design sets.

2. Jessica Hogarth – Stand DP5-55
North Yorkshire based designer/illustrator Jessica Hogarth creates unique prints, greeting cards and homewares featuring hand drawn designs.
Her latest launch is a collection entitled ‘Eclectic’. The greeting cards are based around a variety of themes from tropical fruit to elegant swans and highlight Jessica’s love of surface pattern design.

3. Hannah Longmuir – Stand DP5-76
Hannah Longmuir will be introducing occasions cards into her range for the first time. Designs will include: Thank You, Congratulations, Happy Birthday and New Home sentiments, as well as new Christmas design for the 2017 festive season.
Hannah is also hard at work designing a 2017 Wildlife Calendar. A month-by-month guide to the natural world in an A5 wall calendar format, which will be ready in time for the Harrogate Show.

4. Deckled Edge – Stand DP5-63
Deckled Edge will be launching 2 new ranges for the show; designs of gift wrap for adults and an extensive new range of greeting cards called ‘Prancing Myth’, which depicts Unicorns and Pegasus. The new cards feature bright, sparkly foil and cover children’s birthday ages 1-10 years and general birthday designs.

5. Grumble & Co – Stand DP5
Formed in 2015, Grumble & Co is a loveable greetings card brand formed by partners Nicholas and Ross and inspired by their 3 pugs and a miniature Schnauzer. Grumble & Co’s greeting card designs start out as simple sketches by freehand, that are then turned into line drawings and scanned in digitally. For Harrogate Home & Gift the design duo have been working on an ‘Adventure’ theme, using beloved Wizard Bears and characters from their ‘Fairy Tails and Whiskers’ collection. 6. Wraptious – Stand DP5-25a
Wraptious is a Manchester-based Art and Gift company founded in 2013 by Simon Wadsworth. Their aim is to provide a much-needed platform for emerging artists and creatives, by promoting their work, and selling their designs as a series of high-quality gifts and prints.
Wraptious will be bringing lots of new products to Home and Gift including: a wonderful new range by Laura Clamp, a brand-new range of placemats (a first for Wraptious) and new cushion designs, created by Ros Dando, Tracey Cooper and Rhiannon Finlay.

7. Ruth Holly – Stand G132
Ruth Holly Paper and Home, established 2015, is an independent brand, offering an artisan collection of contemporary homeware and stationery. All proudly made in Britain, The collection includes: abstract cushions, lampshades, art prints, and recycled fibre cards and notebooks.

8. Plewsy – Stand G130
In 2014 (with a little help from The Prince’s Trust) Fiona Fawcett fully launched Plewsy and now her range of paper products and homewares are stocked across the UK in some lovely shops. At Harrogate Fiona will be showcasing her latest range of paper goods including some beautiful new gift wrap designs.
