Make the Most of Your Visit to Pulse 2015.
Pulse 2015 is an annual trade show focusing on design-led gifts and living. Held annually in London, this year the exhibition has had a makeover and promises to be better than ever.
Alongside the move to a new venue at Olympia, the show has been re-designed following extensive research with the buying community.
For Pulse 2015 the show’s organisers are aiming to deliver more exclusive content, educational insight and inspiring trends. The newly re-designed show opens its doors to the trade on Sunday 10th May for three days of stylish products and industry insight.
There’s always lots to see and do at Pulse … often more than you can fit into three days. You’ll find essential information for attending the show at the bottom of the post but first let’s take a look at the 9 show highlights you don’t want to miss.
1. The Living Sector.
The Living sector at Pulse 2015 is a carefully curated pick of homeware, gifts, children’s gifts, stationery, wellbeing and greeting cards. The show specialises in design-led products so you can expect to find an amazing selection of beautifully designed products from both UK-based and international brands.

2. The Fashion Sector.
The fashion sector at Pulse is dedicated to fashion visionaries. You can expect to find artisan crafts alongside heritage designers. The show can always be relied upon to find cutting edge designs using high quality craftsmanship so it’s well worth a look, especially if you adore your accessories.

3. The Launchpad
The Launchpad section of the show is always exciting if you love discovering new designers and new products. Here you’ll find a selection of young designers from both the UK and international design scenes making their first steps into the trade.

4. Selected by UAL.
The UAL (University of Arts London) have an outstanding reputation for fostering new talent and introducing the “next big thing” to the world of design. For the Launchpad section of the show UAL have chosen 16 new faces specialising in children’s accessories, homewares, jewellery, ceramics and more.

5. International Design.
The new ‘international design pavilion’ at Pulse 2015 has been specially selected to present unique and quirky products you won’t find elsewhere. The show’s organisers have chosen 2 exciting design groups from Finland and Hungary to bring the very best of international design to UK retailers. If you’re looking to mix up your buying this is a great place to start.

6. Secret Emporium.
New for 2015, the Pulse organisers have teamed up with design talent scouts Secret Emporium to unite the most innovative fashion and accessory designers. The result is an incubator for young designers to experiment with their new designs and find opportunities to meet and sell to buyers. Keeping your eyes peeled for the Secret Emporium designers is a must if you’re passionate about supporting fresh thinking.

7. Pulse 2015 Trends.
Always keen to help retailers looking for the next best seller Pulse have worked hard to find profitable trends for the upcoming shopping seasons. The show organisers have partnered with trend agency Trend Bible and fashion trend expert Claire Foster to provide quick and simple guides to summer trends, micro trends and fashion trends. Make sure you pick up a show catalogue for more information and check the seminar schedule for trend-focused talks.

8. The Trails.
Alongside the trends Pulse have also created unique shopping trails. These trails are designed to help visitors navigate the show and find products that solve particular buying scenarios. This year’s trails focus on ‘Christmas’ and ‘Custom’. The first as you can guess is all about this year’s best festive finds. The second is suited to retailers who favour stocking ‘one-of-a-kind’ gifts. With so much to see and do at the show, the trails are an easy way to focus your visit to Pulse.
9. Keynote Speakers.
For Pulse 2015 the ‘ShopTalk’ programme aims to cover 3 main areas essential to the industry: e-commerce, trends and business advice. The sessions include talks from Rosie Wolfenden MBE, Founder of Tatty Devine; Liz Silvester, Head of Visual Identity at Liberty and Maxim Berglund, Co-Founder of Streethub to name just a few. The show seminars offer visitors a unique chance to hear practical advice from industry experts. There’s a jam-packed schedule of events across all three days so make sure you check out the seminar times and plan your visit so you don’t miss out.
As I’m sure you can see there’s going to be lots of incredible products to be discovered at this year’s show. It’s also a brilliant way to soak up some industry knowledge.
